Fall 2024 | Living & Dining Home Decor

As I’ve looked back over the years, I tend to share my fall and holiday home decor the most. Maybe it’s because it’s a change from my typical neutral coastal palette or maybe it kicks off a season I love. Either way, I’m here for it and so excited for our second fall in Denver.

If you are just joining me, our family moved from Texas about a year and 1/2 ago, and one thing I learned is while fall is BEAUTIFUL here, it goes by in the blink of an eye. Typically, the mountains start seeing color changes in mid-September, we see the foliage turn in early to mid-October, and I felt like by Halloween, it’s snowing! So this year, I’m decorating early to stretch out the season as long as possible, and there were just so many cute new arrivals I loved.

First, let’s chat about home layout.

We have a very open concept main floor with living, dining and kitchen all attached. That is opened up to our front door and then stairs to our basement and upper level. It’s a space that I’ve tried to decorate the most since we spend most of the time in it. The colors and styles need to feel cohesive yet I don’t love changing things more than a few times a year so I try and use as much of my typical decor as possible.

I also switched out the foliage on our entry table and added some of the new pumpkins I found at Target. They also have a new scent of pumpkin candles that I’m LOVING!! I put this one out and I could immediately smell the warm fall scent for a fraction of the Capri Blue Pumpkin Dulce that I love.

Here’s a few more new arrivals that caught my eye.

Fall Home Decor

On the dining side of our great room, I decided to add some fun pumpkins! Over the years, I’ve grabbed different textured pumpkins, but when I saw the new glass ones from Target that look high-end for a fraction of the price, I knew I needed to grab them NOW before they sold out.

Last year for Christmas, I got these beautiful brown wine glasses, so I knew I wanted to play up more of the browns for my table this year. With the textured table runner, rattan chargers and wood napkin rings I love the layers of textures and natural colors.

The glass pumpkins on my table come in a couple sizes so of course I had a grab a small one for our entry table along with this new candle that smells soooo much like the Capri Blue Pumpkin Dulce that I love and added bonus it comes in a pumpkin shape!

Target has a ton of great fall foliage and pumpkins available now but I’m telling y’all they sell out FAST!

The last space that I started adding some fall touches to is my upstairs hallway console table and landing area. I still have a bit more to do with this area but as soon as I started pulling out fall decor my daughter wanted to add some to her room so I donated to the cause and I’ll be on the hunt for a few more fall touches here.

So that’s it! I’ve never been a big Halloween fan so I keep to this neutral fall palette for a few months until it’s time to put up Christmas decor. I try and keep it pretty easy and spend my time on more important things like making pumpkin bread!
