This year has been very different Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! When looking through preview I noticed that I saw VERY little from their in-house brands Caslon, Halogen, Cece, Treasure and Bond, typically the brands I can lean on for a more affordable versatile dress or blouse. Instead I saw more options for some investment pieces from brands like Frank & Eileen and Veronica Beard. With that I bought way less than any other year but I still feel like I got some great pieces that I’ll wear a ton this fall and winter.
The other BIGGEST change this year was the timing it was the first year that there was only 1 day between each level card holder AND public access shopping. Last year there was a 4 day lag between card holder and public access and the year prior it was 6 days! That means that non card holders had a much better shot at getting their wish list items. Since the sale doesn’t end until August 3rd I also predict that we will see more return restocks over the next few weeks as everyone is able to get their items and return what doesn’t fit!
So let’s chat about what did and didn’t fit me…
OUTFITS
KUT Wide Leg Jeans | Blouse | Booties
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, L // Jeans down wearing 14 need 12 // Booties size up 1/2
This outfit was one of my favorites I got this year the only sad part was the jeans were way too big! I should have known since I had a similar pair last year that I wore a ton in a lighter wash so was happy to add this darker wash to my closet. Also this blouse was a big surprise of how cute it was on. Now I’m pretty sure this print is sold out but it did come in 3 prints and I’m eyeing the purple.

Fit Tips: Jeans size up if in-between, 32 // Blazer size up, 14 // Shirt tts, XL but oversized
These were the other jeans I loved from the sale while they are way more of a splurge I was so happy with the fit and how soft they are! Another investment piece I went with was this Veronica Beard blazer. It has a beautiful texture, fully lined and the buttons have a classic nautical theme that I knew I could wear this with professional outfits or jeans and it’s going to look great now and YEARS from now! The button shirt though was nothing special and wouldn’t recommend.
Dress | Boots | Similar Bag
Fit Tips: dress tts, 12 // Boots size up 1/2 regular calf (did not need wide calf)
Every NSALE I try and find a fall dress that I can wear to dinners and events and the colors in this one gave me all the fall feels! I also love that the sleeves are sheer so little more wearing time plus pockets! Now I know this one has been really low stock so check out some of the style from Julia Jordan they are great for fall as well.

So this dress is NOT in the NSALE but it’s a Gibsonlook dress I had in my closet from last fall and had to show off these boots and bag with it! I’ve realized through the years sometimes just a change of accessories can make what you have in your closet feel like new! The Veronica Beard Boots I’m wearing in a wide calf because I felt like everything in the brand runs small but was so happy that these had ROOM! They fully zip down making getting my feet in and out easier and love the smaller heel they are a 10/10 for me.
Top tts, L // Pants size up if in-between wearing 12 but they were snug! // Shoes size up 1/2
I knew I wanted to snag one of the Frank and Eileen Patrick popovers because I have 2 colors already and LOVE them! Now I messed up my sizing on these Wit & Wisdom pants but they are great just size up if in-between.
Fit Tips: Sweater tts, L // Madewell Jeans tts, L
This was another splurge from Frank & Eileen and I love this sweater!! The classic stripe and fit and feel to this is exactly what I look for in investment pieces, I see myself wearing this now and years to come. Now the Madewell jeans were a flop for me. I tried 2 sizes and just don’t love the length and fit on my body so those got returned.

I just got in these Good American jeans from my original order and while I love the rise, stretch and wash they are sooooo long! I typically cut jeans that are too long but I’m afraid that since these have so much stretch that the hem will curl vs fray so I would have to get them professionally hemmed. So as much as I wanted to love them I think I found better options I love more.
SHOES & ACCESSORIES
Every year I buy a good amount of shoes because in the past I rarely see them go back on sale (at least in my size) until late in the season so while boots and booties in July sounds crazy I always am happy I did!
size up 1/2 ordered wide calf but they are generous will be trying regular calf instead

Vince Camuto Lumina Knee-High Boots
Absolutely loved the style of these boots and while I ordered the regular calf these also come in a wide calf option. I’m keeping the Tortilla color but returning the ones below in Burnt Sugar Verona since they didn’t match nay of my bags and leaned more orange than I wanted. Size up 1/2 regular calf
Vince Camuto Lumina Knee-High Boots
I got a pair of Vince sneakers last year and loved them so when I saw this colorway they were high on my list! Size up 1/2 these run small even for a sneaker
Cole Haan Bellport Pointed Toe Pump
Y’all know I’m a heels girlie so when I saw these from Cole Haan with a 2.5″ heel and cute scallop detail it was a must buy! They are very comfortable and great for fall workwear runs true to size.
I love me a 327 and these are actually from last year! They brought back this two tone colorway and it’s a great neutral sneaker size up 1/2

With NSALE the exact week as Prime Days I really didn’t stock up on a ton of beauty unless the deal was better at Nordstrom or in a few cases my daughter picked it out! I will say their T3 deals are GOOD and if you are thinking about these hair tools this is a good time to buy.
